AIR Music Concert by AIR Pune at Solapur
AIR Folk & Light Music Concert was organized on 23rd July 2012at Solapur by AIR Pune. Rang Mandir Auditoriam having 600 capacity was jam packed. Performance by Vibhavari Apte Joshi, Pune, Kohinoor Langa from Jodhapur, Rajasthan and Bharud performance by Chandatai Jagadishprasad Tiwadi, Maharashtra were highly appreciated.

दिनांक २० जुलाई २०१२ को राजधानी दिल्ली के भारतीय विद्या भवन सभागार में रेडियो प्रसारण दिवस(२3 जुलाई) के उपलक्ष्य में प्रसार भारती आकाशवाणी दिल्ली की और से *मीडिया और हाशिये के लोग* विषय पर एक विचार गोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया. कार्यक्रम में मीडिया और समाज से जुडी अनेक हस्तियों ने भाग लिया . अपने आरंभिक उद्बोधन में आकाशवाणी के महानिदेशक श्री लीलाधर मंडलोई ने कहा कि मीडिया की पहुँच आदिवासी, दलित, आम आदमी और किसानो तक कैसे बने, आज की इस गोष्ठी का उद्देश्य यही है . कार्यक्रम में अपने विचार रखते हुए पत्रकार और मीडिया विशेषज्ञ श्री राहुल देव ने कहा कि बढ़ते बाजारवाद और पाश्चातीकरण के चलते मीडिया में हाशिये के लोगों की जगह बन पाना बेहद मुश्किल है . इन्टरनेट विशेषज्ञ और सम्पादक श्री अनिल त्यागी ने मीडिया और हाशिये के लोगो के बीच की पाई-पाई का अर्थशास्त्र समझाते हुए कहा कि आने वाले ३० सालों तक तो कम से कम मीडिया में हाशिये के लोगों की जगह न दिखती है न बनती है . प्रख्यात समाज शास्त्री डा० रंजना कुमारी ने आकाशवाणी और दूरदर्शन से ही इस आशय की उम्मीद जताई. पत्रकार और मीडियाकर्मी श्री मुकेश कुमार ने कहा कि बबूल के पेड़ पर आम कभी नहीं लग सकते . उन्होंने भी उम्मीद सरकारी मीडिया से ही जताई. अपने अध्यक्षीय वक्तव्य में व० पत्रकार और सम्पादक श्री ओम थानवी ने कहा कि मीडिया जब तक दलालों और उद्योगपतियों के हाथों में है तब तक हाशिये के लोग हाशिये पर ही रहेंगे. इस कार्यक्रम का प्रसारण 23 जुलाई २०१२ को रात ८बजे इन्द्रप्रस्थ चेनल और राष्ट्रीय नेटवर्क पर प्रसारित किया जाएगा

DW Akademie, Germany is planning a multimedia exchange project for Indian journalists, which will take place in Bonn, Germany from September - October 2012. The project will offer participants useful background knowledge for reporting on German-Indian issues. Journalists selected for this fellowship will receive intercultural and journalistic training, as well as insight into Deutsche Welle's multimedia editorial teams. Participants will also put together a multimedia project on the topic "sustainability".
